In February Brighten Your bathroom Decor With A Taste of Summer

It's mid-February. Although it's the shortest, for me, February seems like the longest month of the year. Winter Doldrums. Winter Blues.  I prefer to call it Winter Blahs. If you're like me, you are probably starving for those sparkling bright colors that remind you of the sunny, warm days of summer. Well, with hubby's help, I added some touches of summer to the bathroom that didn't cost a bundle! The walls went from a boring beige ...

to a rich, deep shade of green that really accented the already existing white woodwork.  To add even more pop, I used some inexpensive white picture frames to display some photos I had taken of flowers that had once grown in my own garden!  Cloth shower curtains can be pricey ...

but many vinyl curtains can be purchased for under $10 and come in an array of styles and patterns.  When I saw the shower curtain above, I couldn't resist! And I also bought another one with butterflies ... that I'll save for another time.

And as for some other little touches ... you still don't have to spend a fortune. A green candle left-over from Christmas, a cute little plaque from a Dollar Store, and a glass jar filled with dried, homegrown lavender easily adds a touch of whimsy to your bathroom decor!

  1. I love that shade of green, and it will go perfectly with the tree on the shower curtain. Enjoy your bathroom.
