A Simple New Year's Resolution for 2015 ... Be Kinder To Yourself

I've been thinking about some of the New Year's Resolutions I'd made over the years. For most of my life the biggies were to lose weight and exercise. Well, I do make better food choices now, at least most of the time. I still have to push myself more when it comes to exercise, though. But I am more active than I used to be.  For the past 2 years I'm happy to say I've managed to successfully maintain a twenty pound weight loss.
Last year my New Year's resolution was to be a better person. Did I accomplish that? I'm really not sure. What exactly makes a better person?  Maybe more importantly, how does one define ... better? Well, for the year 2015, I decided to try something different. I'm going to be kinder to myself.
If I don't have anything special to do, and I feel like lounging around in my PJ's all day, I'm gonna do it!

Maybe even have a glass of wine in the middle of the day ...

while I look at garden catalogs, magazines, or do word puzzles.

Oh, the dishes in the sink?  Do them later, or even tomorrow.
Dinner? Leftovers or PB&J.

And when I'm not doing any of those other things, I'll play on here!

Be kind to yourself. You deserve it!

Happy New Year 2015

  1. You look great! About 10 or 12 years ago I discovered Flylady who emphasized that FLY was finally loving yourself. This was a new concept for me, as I realized I did not ever treat myself or take time for myself . It's something I am working on lately. Happy new year 2015 and take good care of yourself!

  2. Hi Wendy, thanks for the compliment. I've been slacking off a bit since Christmas. I've got a sweet tooth. And Winter makes me feel ... blah. I keep telling myself that spring is just around the corner.
