It's almost September In The Poconos! Summer Won't Let Go!

Can you believe it? Almost September.  My Pocono garden is definitely winding down. I made quite a few changes this year. I eliminated garden beds ... planted some flowers that I started from seed ... and have less flower pots than ever before. I have to say, I am really enjoying  the results.
Sometime in March I had sowed some Shirley Poppy seeds into a pot on my back deck. They bloomed in June in shades of red, white, and pink.
Planted last Spring 2018, these pretty purple Foxglove bloomed well for me this July.
July also brought beautiful, fragrant white Oriental lilies
and
pink Stargazer Oriental Lilies that were planted last year.
It's late August and I love my pretty, and always dependable, tall garden Phlox. Even snapped a photo of a Monarch Butterfly enjoying them, too.
Blooming snapdragons in August. First time I'd grown them in years.
Hollyhocks have been blooming since July and still hanging in there.
Catnip is bushy and still blooming … on and off.
And I had decided to try growing tomatoes this year … Big Boy!

Yep, it has been a great Summer!
